Is it just me or is the new ESP logo terrible

Not sure why ESP hitched their wagon to the sinking ship that is GC...

New logo looks cheap to me...but the price of the guitar isn't ...ha

Tone is in the logo \:D/

I have to admit I like the stenciled look of the older one.

I almost bought a white Eclipse Monday in addition to the PRS I grabbed at GC'c "Guitar-A-Thon" sale. They had the new Standard with that ugly logo for $1049 out the door. The trans red was $900. Just didn't gel with how it felt.

Whoa...that's super cheap.

Everybody knows that the ones with the old logo sound better.

Thought about grabbing it to flip but was worried I'd be sitting on it too long.

Doesn't bug me.

So long as they keep producing guitars at the level of quality and craftsmanship they do, I couldn't give a rats' ass what the logo looked like.

Just sayin'.

Hey, could be worse.

Aesthetics are important. You have to live with that while you own the guitar. If they didn't matter, all guitars would be squares of wood.

It's okay to worry about looks on a guitar.

I can get good quality and craftsmanship from a vast variety of builders nowadays.....this is simply unforgivable though.

I own an 08 Eclipse. I like the logo on it. I would still buy one with that logo, but I like the older one better.

thats what happens when they let the desk jockeys that have no idea what a guitar looks like loose on something...
let me guess the conversation went...
my wife said the kids said that if you use comic sans on your logo they are .000000001% more likely to buy your product over coca cola
and some twunt (yes twat and c**t combined) said
oh yeah...
lets spend a million on getting in some nob from that "top" graphic design company to help with this
then the guy above him said
ok
then Metallica walked in the next day and said
if you put that s**t on our guitars were gonna rip off your heads and s**t down your necks

Not sure why, but many dealers are blowing out old standards at super low prices (which may or may not require the blessings of ESP corporate). Way down in the 1000 to 1100 range. Reindeer Blue Eclipses seem to be a fave for low pricing. TMZ's Fall sales list has some amazing deals on Standards. I assume it's all because of the coming E-II line.

It looks shite and ESPs are boring as feck. There, I said it.

This. You guys put a lot more thought into this shit than I do lol. I never really cared about a logo much.
