I almost bought a white Eclipse Monday in addition to the PRS I grabbed at GC'c "Guitar-A-Thon" sale. They had the new Standard with that ugly logo for $1049 out the door. The trans red was $900. Just didn't gel with how it felt.

Aesthetics are important. You have to live with that while you own the guitar. If they didn't matter, all guitars would be squares of wood.

It's okay to worry about looks on a guitar.

I own an 08 Eclipse. I like the logo on it. I would still buy one with that logo, but I like the older one better.

Not sure why, but many dealers are blowing out old standards at super low prices (which may or may not require the blessings of ESP corporate). Way down in the 1000 to 1100 range. Reindeer Blue Eclipses seem to be a fave for low pricing. TMZ's Fall sales list has some amazing deals on Standards. I assume it's all because of the coming E-II line.
