It's more of a reason to play, I wouldn't want to play if my tones were shit to begin with, I tried the POD route and ended up not playing for a long time until I bought some tube amps again, maybe its just me but I just play for the enjoyment, I dont see myself being a fulltime musician anytime soon

. I could care less about impressing anyone, I just enjoy it. I also wanted to do recording at home as well.
