would you need an ISP decimator pro G rack noise gate with the axe fx ? just to kill that last it of noise in there, would it work you think ?

It would work fine, but you definitely do not need it. The Axe itself has all the noise reduction you'd ever need...chopshop777":2xxf9hnn said:

You definitely do NOT need any kind of external noise reduction unit with an Axe Fx.

I love the Decimator and I highly recommend it in any of the rigs I setup....however the AxeFx does NOT need it.
You have the Ultra, so if you feel you need more noise reduction then put a Gate block immediately after the Amp block. In my opinion it doesn't get any better even with the brutally high amount of gain I use

Thats a great idea.
The noise gate in the AXE is very good so no sell it on ebay and make some of your money back.
