Israeli violence against Palestinians echoes Holocaust – ex-Mossad chief

Violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank echoes attacks on Jews during the Holocaust and poses an “existential threat” to Israel, former Mossad chief Tamir Pardo has said.

Israeli settlers live in communities built in the West Bank, a territory Israel captured in the 1967 Six-Day War and which Palestinians seek as part of a future state. Successive Israeli governments have backed or tolerated the settlements for security, political, and religious reasons.

Pardo spoke to local media on Monday while touring Palestinian villages that have come under settler attacks in recent months.

”My mother was a Holocaust survivor, and what I saw reminded me of the events that happened against Jews in the last century,” Pardo said. “What I saw today made me feel ashamed to be Jewish.”

His comments come amid a surge in settler violence across the West Bank, with groups carrying out repeated raids on Palestinian communities, torching homes and vehicles, vandalizing property and assaulting residents, according to witnesses and human rights organizations. In the latest incident, two Palestinians, including a 14-year-old schoolboy, were killed last week after gunmen opened fire near a school.

Land the palestinians lost when they chose to be part of an aggressor force of arab nations. I'm sympathetic to their plight, but not towards recovering lands lost in an invasion they were willing participants in. All is fair in love and war.

Can't agree...since day 1 they've been placed in impossible and extremely harsh conditions so some of their choices were forced onto them.

The entire world turned their back on the Palestinians since the 1940s and mostly still do.

What the fuck would you or I do different in their psoition.

Picking up weapons is always a choice.

This is true.

I'm sympathetic to those who were holding titles dating back to the Ottoman empire. So you fought and lost, unfortunate. Or you weren't a participant and instead were just straight ripped off, which you'd think a court of justice would rectify. Grave mistakes have been made on both sides.

What court of justice?

The Jews wanted to share that land with the Arabs but nope, the Arabs said they'd drive the Jews into the sea. The Jews said "Umm, NO. You won't do that now or ever." The Arabs have stepped on their dicks so many times in regard to Israel it's ridiculous.

Guards at Israel’s notorious Sde Teiman torture camp have admitted their colleagues use dogs to rape Palestinian captives there, according to a prominent Israeli analyst.

Shaiel Ben-Ephraim, a geopolitical expert who opposes Israel’s genocide in Gaza, said he spoke to two guards from the facility about the gruesome form of torture “on more than one occasion”.

“Some have said that claims that Israel uses dogs to sexually abuse prisoners are antisemitic blood libels,” Ben-Ephraim wrote on X on Friday. “Unfortunately, there is a good deal of evidence.”

According to the two guards he spoke to, “one had seen this happen and said it was too awful to talk about. The other said that he had heard about it from others and believed it was true. This happened. This is happening still. The evidence is too overwhelming.”

He highlighted several cases reported by human rights groups and media outlets.

They include a man who spoke to the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR). “We were stripped completely. Soldiers brought dogs that climbed on us and urinated on me,” he said. “Then one of the dogs raped me… I suffered a severe psychological breakdown and deep humiliation.”

“They know once they rape someone with a dog or with a stick that these people won’t be able to carry out their jobs or live their lives normally,” Basel Alsourani, international advocacy officer at PCHR, told Novara Media last year. “It’s part of their genocidal intention to destroy [Palestinians].”
