It is time to give up your alts

I saw the PRS logo light up in the sky, like the bat signal, so I was compelled to come here and answer your question. I am just a fan of PRS guitars. My brother from another mother, VonBonfire, just so happens to like James Tyler. I'm happy he found something that brings him joy, even if it is just a lowly James Tyler. But, I do have other interests besides PRS guitars. For example, PRS amps. I find their level of eq adjustment just infinitely enjoyable. I've been talking to Paul about making his own line of speakers, but I don't think he's ready.

I am more than that, though. I like Rolex watches, Bentley automobiles, Dom Perignon, caviar, etc.

Post a clip.

I look forward to hanging out with you soon at CTHD

You have incredible tastes my friend. The private reserves are amazing and are genuine article real-deal blues guitars provided they have the vowel tuners so I can see how you'd like them but I can imagine it takes expensive boots to complement the tone correctly. Not sure what state you are in, I'm guessing maybe a Honolulu penthouse or maybe south beach in Miami or possibly even in a west Austin custom home. but there are several custom boots makers here in TX that you might want to look into. I know you appreciate a fine leather and other premium animal hides as much or more than anyone. Anyways, really glad you are here on rig-talk brother. You are a cut above the usual TGP/PRS SE defender. Those guys are pathetic.

@VonBonfire doesnt post clips for some reason, though he is a killer guitarist
I'm waiting patiently for Wayne to finish my VonBonfire Deluxe. I think @SmuggNorris will find it blends into his own rig seamlessly because it is a premium boots.

I look forward to it. I also got to get you to play through my rig. You say you cant play metal, but with your skills, i could show you just three things, and you would be out chugging the chugg

Wouldn't personally know, but will trust your judgement.
But whoever Smug is was signed into their normal account already when I posted that.

I don't have a chug worthy right hand. Probably a good thing I did not pursue heavy music cause I suck with a flatpick and is one of the reasons I switched to using banjo picks. Wayne just messaged me and the boots should be en route soon.

I was a finger picker long before i started metal. It was an uphill battle that i still fight, but it is literally practice. There is nothing special needed, brother Tim

I have grown to love the banjo picks. I actually started fingerpicking on acoustic living in Nashville since I was studying Mississippi John Hurt and some others. There are a few guys who use the thumb pick on electric but nobody uses the nickel silver fingerpick. In 20 years I've only seen one guy doing that. Wish I could ifnd his vids, he was cooking.

I like the dull sound of my fingers on acoustic. When i first learned guitar, guy showed me several variations of finger picking and tbh, it stunted my growth as a guitarist just because it was so much easier to arpeggiate in that way...i should say my laziness stunted my growth because i did not learn both ways.

Vonny boy, they're having a sale on fine boots. If you give me your size, I'll buy myself a pair, then get one in your size with the discount.

I learnt both, bare fingers and the banjo picks. I actually like bare fingers for acoustic but I would do the occasional solo gig and you get a lot more volume and definition from the banjo picks. Same runs true for electric. I get just the right amount of treble bite using the fingerpick plus I can upstroke for a nice backbeat rhythm with it.

Your live tone is fucking nice, dude. I wouldnt change anything. Honestly, for live blues, you may be the best I have ever heard

Thank you Smugg. I wear a true size 12 in my berry compliant military boots but I'd rather see you put your money towards a nice boots or high quality microfiber cloth for your private reserves. I mostly just rock my nazi stompers whether I"m out at the ranch or on the stage. The heels on a pair of western boots make me hit my head on stuff more than I already do, lol

I like to be my own worst critic so I'm self-motivated to improve. I have seen many of the best. I still got many miles to go but thank you brother.
