He might just be frustrated with other players in his area or may have hit a wall with his playing. Been there before, it can be massively frustrating. My solution was usually to a) move to a different place and b) keep trying.

Those videos are created to make you think "if i buy this _____ then I will sound exactly like ____!" and it's all a gigantic fucking lie. And then every time me, or medic, or any number of the three dozen RTers who have worked engineering records are like "hey you guys should take this with a grain of salt, it isn't that simple" we get slagged as "haters"
