Yes, that is Paul Greco, big time famous actor, even had a 10 second role in Crocodile Dundee!
yea I remember that

Ya know...I don't really have a dog in this fight...but there are some observations to be made here. I am sure that Mark is a nice guy, but there has been a clear and unrelenting pattern of totally inexcusable personal and business practices on Mark's part. Of course, the excuses keep on coming, but the pattern never changes. I have seen this sort of inexplicable behavior before, and every single time, there was an underlying reason tying it all together. I'm sure that Mark has had some legit excuses over the years, but I'll bet anything that he has brought the vast majority of this upon himself, whether he knows it or not. Seems like a talented guy, and I hope that he gets himself straightened out and does right by his customers.

There are no excuesses for having to wait 2 years for a mod that takes less than 2 hrs to do. And I love camerons stuff, just saying it like I see it. Good luck.

All of you guys need to start getting into contact with one another, contact a lawyer, and have at it.

You need to post under your "own" moniker too.

This is my own moniker, thanks. I was just stating the obvious. If this was any other company, say these guys ordered something from Walmart - paid and/or sent merchandise to them - and were still getting the run around, the advice everyone would be getting is "file a lawsuit."

So why is this any different? There's not nearly enough cash/people involved to get certified as a "class action" suit, but if you collectively organize under one lawyer and have him file the countless separate suits at once, I bet things would get moving.

I'm not one of the people frustrated and being "wronged" as they claim to be. I'm just saying if you really feel that strongly about it, stop complaining on a message board and do something about it. Otherwise, just sit quiet and take the cards you're dealt.

2 years is too long. But DAMN, Marks mods do sound killer. So much so, I want another Modded Marshall.

Likewise!

If Mark was doing mods again, AND had a turnaround time of say.. 1-2months.. i would send him another JMP to work on in a heartbeat!!

Trouble is, as much as i love the Cameron modded Marshall i own and would love more than anything to have another one.. i just cant handle wait times of longer than a couple months at most. Thats why if i decide to have another Marshall modded, it will most likely go to Martin Golub for the modification and work.

I have been waiting longer, alot longer...

Not much I can do about it, Mark doesn't answer my calls and won't call me back when I leave a message.

His mods are more true to the Marshall sound, more vintage and organic sounding. Not the compressed Boogie vibe that you may be accustomed to. He also answers his phone, answers emails and when he says he ships, he does. Usually about $500.00. Honestly, I feel bad for most of these guys waiting for this long, I wouldn't have the patience, I'd be literally steaming by now.

I agree.. i'd be pissed by now. The bad thing is, i feel really bad for these guys waiting so long, but i also feel bad for Mark too... because i have dealt with him over the net (not by phone) quite a bit over the last few years, and he has helped me many times, always responded to my emails or PM's and even given me his advice when i was rebuilding my Marshall and working on mod ideas. I know Mark is a good guy like the rest of us here.. it's just this stuff NEEDS to be worked out so everyone gets their amps finished and so theyre satisfied with the final product they recieve.

I just wish Mark could get this together and get the ball rolling. I honestly think Mark would end up probably the most popular and probably the richest amp modder in the industry, IF the whole business side of things with Mark was the way it should be.

All of that is correct but he does have some high gain mod's in his arsenal like the Brown Eye, Custom and The Angry Hippie Mod which is supposed to be over the top high gain.

I am having the Brown Eye mod done with an extra gain stage so I can use a push pull to toggle between Brown Eye and Angry Hippe. My model is the Joe Holmes/ Slave to the Grind tone.

Sounds cool to me, Dave's Brown Eye is supposed to be awesome

It troubles me that you've been thinking about Dave's brown eye.... :student:

One of the best from what I hear, I'd actually like to see for myself. It looks like rareguitar will get to check it out soon though

I will post up clips when I get it back. I sent him my purple Hendrix Plexi amp from 2004. Should be cool when I get it back

 I am friends with EVH who originally started this thread, so on one hand I fully believe in what he says about this situation. And I feel very bad for him. I had a recent kinda thing happening where I had a piece of musical gear taking what I thought was TOO LONG also. And it pushed me like a horny fat chick.  In the end, the guy I was in question of did not turn out to be all bad! So miss-understandings do come and go! But I also have spoke to a few reliable guys in just the last 3 to 4 days and I know somethings in regards to Mark that make some sense of atleast a touch of the delays. SO I guess the not really knowing or the communication factor is the worst thing. Because sometimes no matter how bad it looks, there are things that make sense of what's transpiring. That if ya knew about them, then you'd realize you thought alot worse of him than was necessary. ALL in ALL, this is in no way my taking sides, but knowing what I know, hearing what I have heard, Maybe privacy for certain personal things has taken precedence over what a customer thinks??? MAYBE???? But yeah, EVH is a good guy and 2 years is A LONG TIME. DUDE, CUSTOMER SERVICE CAN BE A BITCH!
