That I don't like most of the tones that most guitar players like. I like unique tones that are not the norm and the plain vanilla tones bore me, So I will no longer comment on guitar tones.

That is all!

Please Carry on!!

I'm about 4-5 hours away from having the Weber finished.....still waiting for the choke. :gethim:

I've realized that I like the plain vanilla "standard" tones, so I won't comment on guitar tones anymore either.

That's cool and I totally respect that! I just went over some of my posts and re-read some of my comments and it's clear to me that I like different tones then most people do. It seems like when comment on a tone that 'Ive heard 10,000 times before I really sound like I'm grouchy and opinionated. Methinks that It's time to for me to face the facts lol!

I don't have a digital camera but All you have to do is go to the metro site and bag teh Ralle spec thats on there and thats what I currently have loaded in my metro.

I've just realized that I like vanilla...

...MMMmmmmm vanilla.....

I try to post something in most clip threads, seems I could spend a minute to do that if the guy took the time to mkae the clip. I may state my 2 cents about mix or a comment about mids but that is it, I try to stay positive.

Now if I want a straight answer for something of mine I go the PM route.

I don't comment on tones that often anymore, my opinions usually don't gel with the majority

I guess I'm at the other end of the spectrum, I can usually find something I like about any type of tone, which makes me want many different amps!

Me too.
I've begun to type a response to what I thought of an amp clip...but I stop and think...I don't like that type of tone anyway, why am I commenting other than to say something negative? ...when the guy probably really likes that tone so why should I comment.

I've also realized that I'm not the only one who has realized this.:cheers2:

Not to mention, alot of guys (not all, but enough IMO) have already made up their mind about whether their tone is good or not, and they are only looking for positive reinforcement in the responses.

A few guys with unique tones.
Brian May
Eric Johnson
Ronnie Lee Tekro
Michael Schenker
Firkins

And a few guys with plain vanilla tone.
Sambora
Joe Perry
Eric Clapton, post Cream.
90% of the guys who tune to B.
And just about every Nu-metaler who came out between 1998-2004.

Bingo and Im done with it!! After reading some of my posts, Im like WTF was I thinking!! I don't like a lot of the standard guitar tones, so why post anything negative? Ive even done it to you in the Trainwreck clips!! Im just saying that Im done with it because I know what I like. In the end, I think as long as the player is happy then screw the opinions. I guess Ive always known this but was on autopilot with my responces!!

BTW, I did love your Peters clip so there!!

And Id agree with you 100%
Although Joe Perry's tone was outstanding back in the day. Listen to Kings and Queens ;)

I don't like most peoples' sounds at all, even considering the context it's used in, or far and away the vast majority of amps I've played. I'm weird. I already knew that, so I don't sweat it. I still don't know why I stick around amp forums after all the forums I've been around for so many years. But like I said, I'm weird.
