Jackson and 250K Tone Pot

Why do a lot of Jackson guitars have 250K tone pots? It totally neuters the overall tone like there is a blanket over it!!! My USA Kelly has it as do two of my Jackson American Virtuoso guitars. My MIJ RR5 has a 500K tone pot along with a MIJ Dinky that I previously owned. It is a simple fit as I just have them removed from the circuit, but why have it in the first place.

It makes it dull sounding with no balls!!! All humbucker pots should be at least 500K.

250k pots are what a Seymour Duncan JB is designed for.

Typically they pair it with a JB - I hate it in some guitars and don't mind it in others. I've clipped the tone pots out of a couple of my Jacksons because of those sounded too dark.
