When I saw them a few months ago jake was on point, that being said my friend and I were talking the other night about it and he said yea it was a good show but that singer really sucked. I couldn't disagree. Guy acted like a tool and sung out of key. Only place they can go is up....hopefuly

Hope the new guy Michael Beck is better than Darren. I didn't hate Darren when he was having a good night but that was a problem, too many swings of good and bad. Ray left some of the largest vocal shoes ever to fill for fans of Jake making it hard not to compare any singer Jake chooses to Ray, despite it being a different band. The Badlands fan in me thinks Jake should take the route Quiet Riot and Journey did and scour youtube for guys with a vibe closer to Ray. You're never going to replace or match Ray but there must be someone out there that gets in the ballpark just like other bands have found. The realist in me realizes doing that may not be a wise idea. Honestly I'd still go see Jake (I'll be seeing RDC in April) if it was just him playing through the set list alone on stage.

I'm not hating on the guy, everyone has an off night. But if he was having consistently bad nights I can understand them getting a diff singer is all.

Did some googling and Michael Beck was the singer for Manila Thrills back in the late 80s early 90s so I'm not sure his voice is anywhere near the same all these years later but this is him...

Is he fuckin serious ? Your job is to be the fuckin frontman for christs sakes. Your tellin me that all the time before that gig, they never discussed his "role."
He comes off as if he was unsure as to be himself or someone else. That is the biggest B.S. excuse Ive ever heard.

And regarding his statement about musicians ragging on fellow musicians...Fuck that guy.
