Great playing by Jake! He sounds great! Sounds like 5153 channel 2 with a pedal.
I think that he needs to team up with a great singer though IMHO.

Man, how I time flies. I remember losing my shit over a guitar mag article from back when I was in highschool that showed Jake with his white/black Charvel on stage with his evil eyeliner, looking like some exotic uber-metal god, Ozzy in the background doing his monkey metal hop dance. Fuck man, that was almost 30 years ago!! Jaaaaaaayzeus!!!! Time flies.

I guess you had to be there as I heard they were pretty good. One thing for sure is that its cool to see Jake out playing this stuff again. He's a cool player and has a lot of fans.

I agree..rig sounded pretty good...had a chorus on the ultimate sin. You are only as good as your singer though. Am i wrong?

Ray Gillan is my all-time favorite singer so I knew watching this vid could not end well.
And it didn't.

Can't Jake find a GREAT singer. What's the deal here?

I gave up caring about singers live and just listen to the guitarists since if you look at my top 5 favorite guitarists bands they have horrible live singers now...

Ray Gillen is also my favorite overall singer. This is pretty sad. This guy is really not up to par imo.

I agree about Gary and Nuno, but I couldn't believe they did a MEDLEY of songs from their first record instead of playing the tunes all the way through...I wanted to see those songs again live.

I'm a Jake fan but those were awful to watch. I can only imagine (perhaps hope) that the band will get tighter and Jake finds a singer commensurate with his talent. He's too damn good to be associated with that.

Yikes.. that's all I can say. Some of the ozzy tunes were dragging tempo wise as well. Tone was good... Jake is a little rusty still....alternate picking is a bit wild. The singer?? good lord.. he is yelling into the mic. If you want to cover Gillen, you need to have some chops!
