Janick Gerrs is ruining Iron Maiden for me

Janicj Gerrs, Jackoff Queers, whatever. Don't know if I spelled his name wrong. Don't care. All I know is...I'm trying to watch the Iron Maiden concert I tvo'd the other day, and this guy is acting like a total duche. He's ruining Iron Maiden for me. This I can't handle. He's such a douche, his douchness is rubbing off on the other guys. He runs over to Murray and gets him to do some kind of stupid move too. They sound great, but damn it, he's making it really hard to watch the band. Everyone else has super cool stage presence. This guy's has the worst I've ever seen...of anybody...pro or otherwise. WTF is wrong with him??? Why won't he stop?!?! :uzi: :codeak: :powpow:

I had this problem for a while too, but now I just look at him and laugh, dude looks like he's having a blast, fuck it, if he's having fun I should be too. :)

Total fuckin poser. I can't stand him either.he does not fit.

I go though phases. Right now I can't take him. I want to punch him badly. In another band I probably wouldn't care. But this is Maiden!!! :doh:
 
I couldn't agree more. Have been hoping for years he would leave and I would get Maiden back but I gave up. Can't get him off the Eddie tit I guess. Would you leave?

Nope I wouldn't. But I wouldn't act like a complete dork onstage. None of us would. He's a good player and all, but watching him really pisses me off.
 
Ah... They fly their own plane... Whatever they do from that point on is cool beans :D
 
He seems like a cool guy in the documentaries and stuff. Other than fight with Eddie and lift his guitar, what else does he do that is irritating?
 
Agreed. I've felt this for a long time, I'm glad someone else feels this too
Janicks cheerleader stage moves are an embarrassment, I still dont understand why he is still there. I can understand and even admire loyalty within a band, but his contribution to the entity that is Maiden has been minimal at best and again, embarrassing for quite some time. The last time I saw them he looked totally out of place. Maiden was never about flash, Janick seems to be all about it. I understand he's having a good time, but jeesh :doh: :doh:
What are we to do? Maybe they could stick one of those jester hats on him and declare him the stage jester :lol: :LOL:
 
Been watching Maiden live since 1989 and the only thing i ever hated about the band was that waste of space, no input musically IMO, crap guitar player and a joke to watch :(
Was in a local band around here in the 70's/80's White Spirit and he was rubbish in them too, and Gillan haha ..... whereas Bernie Torme was brilliant !!

He irritates me to death.
 
He comes off as the third wheel now since Adrian is back.
 
Well, musically he does not make any difference...so he has to pose to the max to justify his presents in the band.
 
am i the only person who's more irritated by steve harris' incessant and seemingly insecure/narcissistic need to add bass parts to every clean guitar intro on every maiden song ever?

it's like, 'we get it dude - you write most of the music. can i please hear a clean guitar intro on an iron maiden track that's JUST guitar and doesn't also have your bass obnoxiously drowning it out?'
 
O.K. I agree with Janick's strange stage acts, but Maiden still kicks total ass! One of my favorite bands from when I was a kid back in the dinosaur days...(Along with the PRIEST!)

The Bruce Dickinson's solo stuff with Roy Z / Adrian is phenomenal stuff as well in my opinion! Bruce is just amazing and a very talented songwriter / vocalist..
 
I don't get why he plays some of Adrian's solos when Adrian himself is back in the band :confused: Especially since Adrian is a much better player.

I don't dislike his playing at all. Even with the three guitars it still sounds pretty tight, but I've never seen anyone act like such a complete fool on stage like him. :doh: And it's Iron Maiden for pity's sake! :gethim:
 
3 guitarists in 1 band is 2 too many unless your Iron Maiden or Judas Priest then 2 is OK :)

didn't know he was in white spirit way back then, this riff might sound familiar ;)
