Set it up, and the damned thing is probably the best or one of the best playing guitars I have. I have Vintage and current USA Jacksons and Charvels, Tom Andersons, PRS Custom, USA Fenders and Gibsons, ESPs, *thinking* other guitars and this damned thing has a better neck and fretwork than 90% of what I own.
It has the 'zero' trem, which is kinda weird... still working that out, and while the pickups are dimarzio/ibanez, the guitar sounds good. Not great... my Tom Andersons smash it in the category - but the fretwork and neck are just as good. I've owned over a dozen Japanese RGs from 87 or so to the early 90s - and had a few freaks that were like this, and the rest were decent guitars, even if the one piece maple wizard necks had a tendency to warp over time.
Oh, and the hardshell case? Not as ornate as say the Fender Eric Johnson signature G&G cases that I have, but these cases hold the guitar better and if I had to guess which one would protect a guitar the best, the prestige case wins.
It just amazes me that Fender and Gibson can't make every guitar that is 'USA' made have the same quality workmanship. I'm sure the custom shop stuff is closer, but I'm still amazed at this guitar.
