Jeff Hanneman of Slayer passed away today...

His Wikipedia page says liver failure at 11AM today killed him, but I find no other corroboration...

UPDATE: Now I'm seeing it in other places. F'n A, man... Don't get bit by whatever spider bit Jeff... :scared:

Slayers official FB is reporting this as well... Unfuckingbelieveable....
 
Terrible news. Dude was battling that flesh eating bacteria for a few years now, but Slayer kept professing his improving health and contributions to their upcoming album. Totally unexpected.
 
Never been a fan of Slayer... but always bums me to hear of ANY musician's untimely death. :aww:
 
Fucking sucks, Reign in Blood are playing while I have a beer in his honor. I had a brown recluse bite a few years ago, but caught it early and my knee is fine.

Those Hanneman ESPs are gonna skyrocket now.
Hope they had enough material to be able to release the new album.
 
One of my main influences on guitar. Met the guy a few times, super cool. Not very willing to talk gear though!!!
