Jensen Speakers - Metal

I'm looking for a pair of budget friendly speakers that are bright but tight with some growl too. This is to brighten up one of my darker straight 412s. Even the V30s I put in it don't give that cut I'm craving. Nothing on the local used market so started exploring.

I immediately thought of Jensen as I know some of them can have that high mid and high treble sound that can get nasty and pissed off sounding in the right cab.

So I ordered a pair of the cheaper Mod 70 speakers to mix with a pair of 2005 V30s. I was apprehensive due to the 96db vs 100db sensitivity ratings, but from hearing clips and reviews I can tell it's a loud speaker regardless due to it's extended high end freqs sharp attack.

ive been curious about jensens as something different from celestions, specifically the tornado as ive heard some cool clips with them, i think the mod sounds best in this video though.

I'm a celestion guy through and through but their sub $150 budget Chinese speakers aren't really appealing.
The A-Type and V-Type are nice but I'm looking for something brighter and more aggressive.

those ive never tried. i have T75's, V30s, G12-65, K100, G12 Vintage, GM12-70, Greenback and G12h30's. the greenback and h30s i never really use cause they are just too bright and raspy for my tastes

I had a mod 110 ages ago and it was pretty cool, can't really give any impressions though since I don't have any amps I had back then. (I guess it's the 130 now). I had the C12K at the same time and it was way too scooped.

In the clip I liked the Mod 70 and Nighthawk best. I think some of them would be too bright in some applications or for some people, but there are a few models there that are definitely doable and somewhat unique sounding with high gain which is cool. All models are made in Italy too. Not bad...

A good video from Kohle on 3 Jensen's vs a UK V30. At the end it shows how great the right mix of 2 can sound vs just a V30 alone.
