Clapton blows dead goats. I like Jimi, Trower, Blackmore and Uli better for strat players.
You dislike him for other reasons than his guitar playing Pauly.Clapton blows dead goats. I like Jimi, Trower, Blackmore and Uli better for strat players.
If you ever hear it again, make sure you have Shazam on your phone and there’s a very good chance it will tell you what it is.Appreciate the suggestions guys but I'm going to call off the search party because I'm having a hard time sifting through most of this music lol
WTF is Shazam? I thought that the existence of the supposed Sinbad movie was ruled out due to the Mandela effectIf you ever hear it again, make sure you have Shazam on your phone and there’s a very good chance it will tell you what it is.

Yeah I preferred him with a Tele or a Gibson myself. Interesting fact though, the Tele he's using in that Hyde Park video I posted has Brownie's neck screwed to it.What I’ll give Clapton is he’s like Schenker in that he has a good flow, never really falls out of the pocket or hits a bum note. His tone with Cream, especially the wah tone is some of the best ever. Once he went to Strats in the 70’s he lost me.
Listen to music on my phone lol? I guess I could set up a walkie talkie in front of my amp and listen to it from the receiving end to match that stellar audio experienceyou hit the button on your phone and it tells you what song is playing, its wonderful
Every time I revisit the Live at Ronnie Scott’s vid I hear something new. So glad we have that document of him just killing it.I saw Jeff Beck live a few years ago , and he was doing just that. Simply amazing to watch and hear.
ok, i give it another shot. any specific album? The best Clapton to listen to is the live Cream records, where the whole band is firing on all cylinders, and they’re all improvising. Clapton was un fucking untouchable back then, take my word for it.
That’s not entirely true Floyd. while I won’t pretend to understand his political choices, honestly I never understood the hero worship of Clapton for his guitar playing. Just never been a fan, this goes way back, long before I cared about politics or before there was an internet to even know what someone’s affiliations were. You dislike him for other reasons than his guitar playing Pauly.
That’s a really good point I had really never thought about.Once he went to Strats in the 70’s
He did some work on a lethal weapon movie that was tastyI started to look but when I did a quick Google search to jog my memory, there are a ton of great Clapton solo's that came out in the 80's and 90's! Will have to spend some time this evening reminding myself of that.
Who cares about some rich Brit’s politics? He’s probably a recovering hippie….That’s not entirely true Floyd. while I won’t pretend to understand his political choices, honestly I never understood the hero worship of Clapton for his guitar playing. Totally made me flash on David Sanborn. The smoky sax of 80’s movies. He did some work on a lethal weapon movie that was tasty
I believe he’s an anti vaxer…among other things. But like I said, I just never dug his guitar playing. There are probably a LOT of guys that are routinely hero worshiped that I don’t get…. I think people would be surprised really.Who cares about some rich Brit’s politics? He’s probably a recovering hippie….
He also doesn't think too much of the immigration situation in Britain which has caused him to be labeled a racist.I believe he’s an anti vaxer…among other things.
