JB is a good if not great down to Earth dude and a smoking player...cool rundown of the Page Sun Dragon rig and the story behind the amps:
JB sidebar: many years ago we had an ampfest here in PDX that a bunch of guys showed up to, way too many to have it proceed remotely orderly, supreme loud wankfest was going off. As I was walking out to escape it I heard somebody play about 5 notes that stopped me in my tracks, guy was clearly on a different level than most there. I introduced myself and talked him into being the demo guy for all of the amps there. We all sat back and just let him rip for a few hours, it proved to be the absolute right way to go. I got to be pretty good friends with JB after that and hung out with him a bunch while he still lived here. It was a fair bit of time before he leaked what his actual background was and is par for how he conducts himself. I figured he was just another killer guitar player / nice dude combo...He was in WAR, produced and played on Santana's Shaman album...last Summer he went to a Los Lobos show as a guest, main guy in that band David Hidalgo fell and broke his arm 40 minutes before they were supposed to go on. They asked JB to sit in and do the show playing the guys rig. He went up and nailed it. Check his YouTube channel out, there's some cool stuff.
