JJ100 with Dual Gain and Master Mod!

Just got my JJ100 back from Dave. I had him put in a dual master & gain so that I can have 2 footswitchable options. If you leave it on BE mode you have 2 different gain and master settings, if you put it in JBE mode you can now balance out the volume between the BE and JBE modes as well as fine tune the gain. I loved this amp before but I wanted to have full control over the options on demand. This mod makes it the perfect amp IMO. Dave turned it around quickly given his current schedule. Top notch guy, especially dealing with my nagging him about updates. I would highly recommend this mod if any of you have a JJ100 and want extra flexibility. Man I love this amp!
 
Now I'm just waiting for my Fractal FX8 and I will have the perfect rig!
 
So you have a gain control for the BE mode and a gain control for the JJ mode ? Along with 2 separate volume controls ? If so pics please, I had asked Rob about another gain control when I purchased mine but I think he said the extra volume control was the only mod at the time.

I contacted Dave directly. He said that he could do the mod for $300+shipping. He added the gain and master knobs, changed out the footswitch jack for a stereo one, changed out the 2 position channel select switch for a 3 position and also traded out the original footswitch and cable for a new one that would control the new functions. I highly recommend it.

The original gain and master control the BE mode and the ones below control the JBE modes or provide the 2nd gain and master for the BE mode if the mode switch is set to BE mode.
 
Very cool. I would probably have done the same thing and foot switchable dual master. Shipping depends where you live. For me insured each way would be about $75, so total would be about $450. fyi - pick up a labeler if you done have one and use clear with white lettering on the smallest font and upper case lacked and the letter should be very close and you can label those extra knobs! ;)

Yeah it was steep shipping for me and I debated on whether to go thru with it or not but I'm glad I did. It's kind of cool that Dave actually modded my amp too. The masters hands have been in my amp, lol. It doesn't bother me to not have labels on the knobs so I'll probably just leave it be. Can't wait for my Fractal FX8.
 
I have the dual master mod done to my JJ, I wonder how much it would cost to get the dual gain mod added ?
 
No need for dual gain knobs for me...my gain stays on 10 at all times! :rock: :lol: :LOL:
