First off, I own a Mark V and think it's a great amp....although with it's faults here and there when compared to other Mark series amps, which is something that has been voiced by many MKV users in the public arena since it's release. Well, this video below shows JP explaining how he ultimately ended up only using his MKV in the studio to make DT's last record....even though he brought other amps, such as his IIC+'s. He says the MKV in IIC+ mode sounded a lot better than his actual IIC+'s for leads, so he didn't use them. And, maybe he really did prefer the V.......
But, this really sounds like a lot of BS to me. It seems as if Mesa put JP up to making this video with the intended goal of trying to change public opinion about the MKV. Like, "No, really!...The MKV is every bit and more better than a IIC+!" Thoughts?
