saw this for a C note, used at my local GC. this was the first guitar i bought in 1994 with money i earned from my first job. My originals have been stripped and retired, but for a hundo, i was thrilled to snag this. these things have a plywood body, total junk... but it was MY junk for a long ass time, while i built my chops.
only pisser is that i have to wait a few weeks for it to get off "police hold" at gc... so i had to put a hundred dollar guitar on layaway :).

Ah, the plywood guitar. The first guitar I bought was in 1996 and it was a piece of shit plywood SG with microphonic pickups I bought off a hippie kid for real cheap because he wanted weed money. I just liked that it was black and pointy.

I had otherwise been playing some bottom of the barrel Dean humbucker strat that belonged to my girlfriend who never learned to play…and she had put stickers of dogs on it and wouldn’t let me take them off. So I felt the plywood SG was a big step up at the time.

That’s awesome. I keep a saved Reverb search for my first guitar, but never shows up.

That's pretty crazy. How did you know it was yours when you saw it?

My friend had a HSS Strat stolen and recovered YEARS later because he left an old letter from his girlfriend with his name and address on it taped to the inside of the trem cover on the back.

it just the same as my first, not the actual first. i still have the ACTUAL first, but its parted out (cuz everything was aftermarket eventually), and just the body and neck are left in my closet.
