These amps are really well build considering the price. Sure, full of cold solder joints, and the diodes in the heater circuit are to weak. But they are way better than Engl, some Marshalls and many more amps that cost 2-3 times as much.

I removed the variclass control and installed a presence control, redid the phase inverter to a classic long tail pair, and revoiced both channels.

A lot of gain in the clip, but you can always turn it down. Also, the gain boost is active in the clip. This amp does everything from spanking clean via bluesy crunch to massive metal now. And it doesn't sound as sterile and boring as the original does.
 
Did a short sound clip as well, no mixing involved, just double tracked rythm panned hard left and right. One lead track with some added reverb and delay. That's it!

Let me know what you think! It's veeery far from the original valveking both soundwise and circuit-wise.

Thanks! Yeah, I feel bad about selling this one, it turned out so well. But sadly I just don't have any room for it.
