Just ordered a brand spankin` new BE-100, i`d need a line out, is it available?

Went through Brad too, he said he`d look to see if available. Why not ask THE man himself!!!!!

I`m running W/D/W so i need that signal. Don`t really want to mess with separate box.

Thanks,

Chris

GOT IT AN HOUR AGO LOL

I had a line out added to mine.... I don't remember how much extra it cost.

You think it would be a standard option on an amp of this caliber!!!   Congrats on your new BE-100!!! It is a great amp!!!

Just get one of these if not...works perfect for a wet/dry rig needing a line out. I put mine in the speaker out of my head switcher.

Yep, I use this for my Cameron Atomica. Works great. I believe Dave has his own Line Out box?

Does a box like the Suhr affect the tone in any way? I heard some people say it changes the tone a bit????

I`d prefer to have an on board line out like all my other amps, way simpler IMO. But in the worst case, i guess i`d have to go with that Suhr or if Dave has one, i`d get that.

But i hope i can get the line out on the amp.

Chris

no problem on the line out.

have brad give me your info and ill make sure it gets done.

The Suhr ISO box does not effect the tone at all!!

Just a thing i read somewhere

Thanks for the info.

I also added the foot switchable BE/HBE mod. Does this alter the tone at all or does it just engage disengage the HBE?

I guess the HBE is another gain stage, so it`s like adding a boost of some sort?

Can`t wait to get this thing, sucks having to wait 2 months for these two features but it will be worth it i`m sure.

Thanks for the help,

Chris

Yeah, I think the HBE is just an extra gain stage. The boost mod will be a boost for both the clean and BE channel. I hear ya on the wait. Just placed an order myself.

Does the added HBE gain boost work on the clean independently? Equaling 4 different tones:BE/HBE/Clean and clean+HBE?

Does the switchable HBE sound the same as the HBE input?

Sorry for all the questions but i`m just trying to get to know the amp more. Also, with the mod, does the HBE input remain active?

I`ve been gasing for a Marsha since it came out, now i`m finally getting one!!!!!!!

This gonna be my first plexi style amp ever, i`ve always had modern voiced high gain machines. This is gonna be fun!!!!!!

Where does the amp need to go for these mods? Back to Metro or back to you Dave in CA? Suggestion: a menu of availabe options for the BE (or any other amp you make/sell) so that people would know whats available when they order so the amp can be built that way from the get go. It'll cost me as much to ship as the BE to HBE mod costs, if I had know what I know now I would have ordered it with the BE to HBE footswitchable option when it was built (honestly I thought it would have that feature when I bought it). I asked in my emails to you what is all available but wasnt answered...Knowing what I know now having the amp for a bit I would trade some of the rear panel switches (Fat, C45, etc that I dont use) for the things that are more useful to me personally, BE to HBE foot switchable, dual footswitchable masters etc. Just a suggestion...amp still kills though so its all good.

To be honest there really is no options available. I have done some custom things for people and would prefer not to. The switchable hbe might be incorporated into the amp in the future. I do this mod right now for 150.00. It has to come to me to do it. I would rather not do switchable gains and masters though because I feel it changes the tone. More the gains then anything. If I had it my way the amp would be a single channel with no switches or options but that's me.

Thanks Dave for answering my post, really appreciate it

Good idea i think to have that option as standard on the BE. Really obliterates the need for a seperate boost pedal. I hate pedals in front of my amps input. OK in the loop but not in front. That`s why i dont use a wah or a phaser. Though i love the damn EVH phase.....

Can`t wait to get this beast. It`s already all paid for and all.

Now the wait begins :(

Chris

Thanks Dave, I understand your point about the tone and too many things in the path. I will be doing the BE to HBE though, as you said in another thread a boost pedal in the loop does work fine as volume boost for solos. Should make switchable BE to HBE std as you suggested, I really like both tones a lot and with the gain at 2 oclock you can get two really great tones one heavier than the other and different tone.
