Hi guys!

New guy here. I´ve been following this great forum for a while and I thought I might as well register to share in the fun!

I´ve been interested in a new Diezel for years. I used to own a pretty early Herbert, but I had to sell it a few years ago. And i´ve missed it like crazy. But after quite a bit of "which one should I buy"... I just ordered a brand new Diezel Hagen! Should be here next week.

I´m so happy right now!

Good Boy :D

Where are You located ?

Btw, welcome to the board

Thank you Peter!

Feels great to be here :D .

I live in the frozen north where polarbears and moose (elk?) walk the streets (aka Sweden).

No.1 Weclome Aboard
No.2 Congrats on a KILLER amazing amp
No.3 Cheers to having excellent taste in amps and tone :D

The Hagen's an outrageously well voiced amp. It's a total new level for Diezel. Seriously, congrats!!

Uncle Mo :rawk:

Thanks guys!

My excitement is literally mounting by the hour and you guys aren´t really helping :D .
I´m sure I´ll love it. The sound/youtube clips I´ve heard sound very promising and all the glowing reviews I´ve read sealed it for me. And I still haven´t played a Diezel that hasn´t blown me away (I´ve played the VH4 and Einstein and my old Herbert of course). Peter, you make great stuff!

It was sent yesterday and the scheduled delivery is on monday. And I won´t have to work all next week so there will be ALOT of playing time.
Can´t wait!

Congrats!!
I want one SO BAD!!
Someday for SURE in the Future!!

Welcome!!

Dan

Guess what... It´s Here!

I´ve just spent about an hour with it and this amp is truly great. I won´t go into detail, but god I´ve missed that THICK Diezel tone.
The amp feels incredible to play and the tone is so fat but articulate and tight, but with a slight sag to the lows that I really like. I didn´t get a chance to play it much louder than bedroom levels, but on tuesday I will crank it up good with my band. Clean is very good, ch2 is very crunchy, ch 3 is perfect, Ch 4 has so much gain but a very sweet liquid tonality to it. Again, great feel.

Great, great amp!
You did it again Peter!

Oh, by the way. Is there no manual for the Hagen? Cause I didn´t get one. EDIT: found it on the Diezel site.

Also, Hagen owners, care to share some of your settings?

Normally I have the presence up, depth around noon - but then the bass pots of all channels 10 o'clock. This amp has a lot of bass/lower frequencies IMO.
Gain pot channel 1 around 2 o'clock, channel 2 at 3, channel 3 at 2 and channel 4 at noon. Treble and mids are mostly 1-2 o'clock.

Congrats for your new tone machine!!

I've spent nearly two months with it now, and I still have the knobs near to noon, it just sounds amazing as it is!

Thats one of the things I like about Diezel amps. They always sound good and balanced with the knobs on 12o´clock. It just needs very small tweaks from there to reach your disered perfection. It was the same with my old Herbert. Everything at 12 o´clock=almost perfect.

Yeah, there´s a lot of bass in it for sure. I play through a Mesa 2x12 recto cab at home and I had to dial down the Bass and Deep knobs a bit at the low volumes I played at, otherwise it got quite boomy. I did open up the volumes a bit today and things started falling into place. So the Bass and Deep went up a bit again. I can´t wait to crank it up more and run it through my 4x12 Traditional Rectifier cab.

I´m really impressed with the balanced tonality of this amp.

Now that I have THE amp, I´m really starting to yearn for a Diezel cab too.

Sorry, I like to have a lot tight bass amount
with a low presence frequency.

Since I´m getting older I need some air to move
my Heini :D
