Just played my Rebel 30 with Scumbacks!!..WOW

Traded my Tourmaster head for a Rebel 30 head from Jaws Guitars...Thanx Jim.....had been playing it through a Lynch Super V speaker....sounded great...then I plugged it into my other 1/12 Mojo cab with a Scumback M75 hp....wow....then plugged it into my Germino 2/12 with Scumbaqck M55's!! wow, wow......amazing.....speechless

Hey Rod...those M55's you sold me sure sound good....I jumped on the Egnater train with the Mod50.....I caught the Scumback and modular bug from you....glad to hear you are digging the Rebel

Hi....Glad you like em...They're great speakers...still my favs......Got 2 in my Germino cab.......The modular thing with Randall or Egnater is amazing....glad I could help!!! Got some back issues, so the 23 lb Rebel 30 head has been saving me from more backaches....... take care....

Still loving my Mod 50 and hope to get a Rebel 30 tghis summer. I am also ordering a Fryette(VHT) Deliverance 212 cab to go with my VHT ST/50, but they use VHT tuned Eminence speakers that are front loaded.

I am hoping to get Scumbacks for my TM212. A friend of mine tried the Scumbacks in his TM212 but preferred the stock speakers so it really is personal preference. I might love em though.

Example on different opinions, I know some guys love the Celestion G12K-100s in the TM212. I tried them and went back to the Elite 80s because I found they have thicker mids and smoother highs. The 100s seemed more scooped for my tastes.

Hi Richie....The Scumbacks are very different sounding...The M series breaks up a lot, like an old Marshall with greenbacks....The H series are cleaner, but both speakers influence the tone of the amp...any amp...greatly...That could be good or bad....really should try one...It may not be your cup of tea....I like dirtier speakers that compress some...singing flutey sounds....similar to Warren Haynes's tone....although he used EV's, his SLO100 is running so loud that the amp compresses....I've played with him at the same shows, and he's really loud....to loud for my ears...The M series do that at lower more reasonable volumes..Makes the clean channel break up and sound like a good Plexi......The Scumbacks like all Egnater amps I've tried with them.....Tourmaster, Rebel 30, Renegade...Mod 50...

I am like you...I like some break up and compression at lower volumes so I am hoping to try some M75s soon. The going combo is the M75/H75 pairing. I have been using high wattage clean speakers for some time. Might be time for me to try the Scums sooner than I thought.

If you like low mids, the 55hz are amazing...still have a nice top end...I think they are smoother sounding....certainly fatter

I am getting an M75/H75 (65 watt) mix for my THD 212. Might be getting the same pair for another cabinet but will go for the larger dustcap possibly for variety.
