Just scored a be100 for CHEAP!

Not that anybody necessarily cares lol, but I just scored a BE100 for a song and dance. Musicians friend posted a b-stock one for $2,367!! Jumped on it!! Unfortunately, the blemish is a cracked headbox. Other than that its mint, according to the site its supposed to be 100% functional. Now I can use the savings for my new custom solid rosewood neck LP.
 
I had them at 2250 shipped and i was going to send back my new one for the savings. I drug my feet.lol. Really nice amp, you got a great deal.
 
cracked headshell means it was probably dropped pretty hard...it may be functional now but remember,they don't open up the amp to see if it had internal damage...Of course Dave can always fix anything!

I hear ya, Im a little worried about it, but crossing my fingers that all is well internally. Dave, if I pull the chassis out of the headshell to give the guts a quick inspection, will that void the warranty? I could always send you a pic as well for you to look over even though Im not sure if it would tell you anything lol. It still has the 30 days money back from musicians friend, but Dave has already contacted me and it seems he will take care of me if anything isnt working properly, thats what I call Grade-A customer service!!!! These are the kind of companies that I will give my money to!!!
 
So, an update... got screwed by musicians friend, amp arrived in very bad shape!!! In their pics, the headshell was just cracked, its totally broke apart!! For two, one of the fuse holders is completely shattered so I cant even power the amp up to try it out. It was described on the site to be in working condition, just cosmetic flaws... Also noticed one of the transformers mounting ears are bent and the tranny sits at an angle now, and one of the metal rings (dont know what they're called) around the far left preamp tube is bent as well.... VERY frustrated with musicians friend right now, the packing job wasnt the greatest, but box was in alright condition, so im left to believe they shipped it to me this way. The packing job was definitely not factory. Going to call customer service and see if I can get a partial refund to cover repairs and possibly send the amp to Dave. To make things better, I am playing Rocklahoma in a month and have no amp big enough to do it with now... ill keep you all posted on this nightmare!!!

Damn dude, its times like these I hate to say I told you so....sorry it didn't work out. At that point there is no way I would keep that thing no matter what. Its probably still going to cost you something to have it fixed plus shipping to Dave etc. You're better off sending it back, putting the extra $1k in and getting a brand new one.
 
It sucks! Im gonna give dave a call and see what he thinks... MF said if I get a quote from Dave, they'll reimburse me for all repairs and my shipping costs.
 
Well, its all settled, Dave is awesome!! Can't thank him enough for helping me out!!! Awesome customer service!!! Maybe he can give a training course at MF on how to treat a customer... lol
