trying to sleep here at the hilton anatole in dallas but HP is having a massive corporate shindig in the lobby and a guy was playing all along the watchtower on electric accompanied by a chick on electric harp and drum machine for dinner entertainment....hooboy...

an interesting side effect of having the flashback and now the x4 a gforce is i tried to emulate the ep3 toneprint with the gforce and it helped me get a nicer delay sound out of it.
looking forward to tweaking the x4 more when i get home. the roland space echo has promise and now with 4 toneprint slots i can experiment with more of them.

Thank you. Yeah there will be people that will be selling them, that's one good thing about GAS, there's always something around the corner that ya have to have or try!!

Yeah! I don't really know how I got down to 3 pedals lol!! I just start selling sometimes and then I look one day and say my board has gone to shit!! But this time around is it! This will be board reset #5. But ya GAS can get ya!! LMFAO!

Can you control the delay times I with an external tap? I currently control 2 delay pedals and a tremolo with a single Boss FS-5U pedal. I would like to keep the Boss tap and get rid of the 2 delay pedals in exchange for the X4.

According to the manual it's expression pedals only, no tap tempo.

Thanks man!! I wouldn't say the Flashback is out the door, it's a great delay pedal but the X4 just so much better!

Better tone wise? Aren't all these tone printable the same?

I bought the vox delaylab couple weeks before they announced the flashback 4. First I was a little disappointed but the vox is pretty stellar. I use my delays with killdry so my original signal stays clean avoid that whole a/d/a deal. I'd still like to compare these two as far as the delay tones but for features, can't beat the vox. 10 banks of three. Digital read so you can dial in exactly the mil sec. Killdry, spillover, etc. Anyone out there tried both?

I had a regular Flashback and really liked it. Only problem was that I wanted/needed some presets. I also bought the Vox Delaylab and I love it. I compared my Flashback and Delaylab side by side for a few hours and they both sounded great. Like you mentioned, a big plus for the Delaylab is the digital read and 30 possible presets. If the Delaylab didn't exist I would be all over the X4 though.

I have a Nova Delay, Nove Repeater, and a Flashback (original). The Novas handle a hot parallel loop a little better and the presets on the Nova Delay are nice. The Nova Repeater is WYSIWYG, stupidly easy and happens to sound great. Both are a smaller footprint than the x4.

My delay needs are minimal, I don't need all of them and am trying to figure out which one(s) to sell.

I'd have to agree on this. Ive owned a couple Timefactor's in the past, while they are great delay's I like this one better!!

I haven't tried the Timeline and I don't want to because I've heard they are incredible. There's no need for me to get the GAS going for one of those
