Yeah...........the famous plastic shaft, knobs falling off, PCB, computer, does nothing great is 4 years old now and is just now getting it's first power tube change after approx 150+ jams at gig volumes now passes the beer spill test.

Used a beer for a slide and slammed the bottle a tad too hard back on the amp and created a rather amusing fountain that I only saw due to the drummer laughing his ass off pointing with one stick

No fireworks, just a sticky Crunch button that has been cleaned up and still rolling.

Yeah, the JVM is cheap said the flippers and internet knitting circles.........................

Bullshit

Yeah, I think that all of the JVM detractors gave up a awhile ago....

Im not looking to try the Beer Spill test either, Ill just have to trust you on that one

My buddy had nothing but issues with his JVM, but he bought it used. Not tube issues either.

Your one good JVM does not make all JVMs good, just like my friend's one bad one does not make all JVM's junk.

Took the pre amp tube shields off eh?

  :D

I bet it sounds great

Just picked one up from dimebag11 here. I played a 205c that sounded WONDERFUL so I figured, what the hell, the 210h must sound at least as good!
@Mike what mods have you done on these?

really? I never would have thought that amp would have held any interest for you... If you said AFD head, I could see that but then again, you have alot fo that covered with that glorious Fortin SLP head of yours...

IMHO, I think that the JVM ranks as one of Marshalls top 5 production heads of all time. It has tons of classic and vintage Marshall tones in it coupled with really cool, useable modern features. Sure, PTP snobs may differ but none of that matters to me, the amp accomplishes what it sets out to do in stellar fashion..

I will own a jvm205 in the near future...50 watter would probably suit me better...i wouldn't mind owning the yjm head...but too much $ and amp for a bedroom only player...of course...it does have an attenuator on the back right??? I think i'll go JVM !

1959 specs with built in boost, gate, studio reverb, power scaling?

That amp IMO is awesome, everything you always wanted in a stock plexi type amp. Genius IMO and who knows what Fortin can do with that amp ;)

The power scaling works so good its retarded. Got to hear it first hand at NAMM 2011 and was blown away. Heard it side by side with the AFD head, and would take the YJM over the AFD no question, although the AFD has some cool tones as well.

but would the power scaling be good enough for a bedroom only player with kids asleep in the next room? the amp doesn't have master volume does it?

I personally cant stand the JVM and think it sounds like utter ass...and yes I've played more than just my buddy's ;) I also saw a band playing one night and one guy had a 410 and the other had an 800 and that old 800 just sounded sooooo much better in all aspects
