Hi Guys,

Don't want to start a philosophical discussion here regarding if which one sounds better or if you can tell the difference, just would like to hear your thoughts on what you'd do on my situation:

I currently have a JVM410H + 1936 Cab + G-System (just bought and can return). I am bedroom / studio player and have no intention to play live. I bought the JVM due to being a long dream of owning a top marshall half stack and on an excellent deal, they are as new. I guess any kid who grew up in the 80s and 90s had a dream of owning one and just by looking at it you kind of play better (you know what I mean).

Now, all of this takes space and cables and to play silent - Which I do 75% of the time - I need to plug this into my computer interface and use JVM emulated out (was considering buying the torpedo studio for this). Considering the latest Kemper reviews and feedback, am considering selling all of this and just get a tiny Kemper.

What do you guys think? Would you get rid of all this and get a Kemper? Or would you keep the JVM + G System? Shit I'm really undecided here, but am on the verge of returning the G system, sell everything and get the simple Kemper.

Thoughts?
Thanks!

Yup, i would sell and get a smaller package. I have two G systems and for me, play in a band and jam loud all the time, they work great and sound even better.

But when i play silent like you mentioned, i use my little Yamaha THR10X. Whoaa. Perfect for that. I even go jam at a buddys place and plug it in the PA and it sounds massive.

But yeah, i would go with the Kemper or AXFX.

I'm in a similar situation (bedroom player) and I bought an Axe FX.

I pretty much want to sell all my tube amps now. Just need to find some buyers.

I bought a Kemper and the remote pedal. I profiled my amps and sold them.

KEMPER is the greatest invention in musical history...Well, it's pretty good....

For your intentions buy an Axe FX2 and you will be all set!

Hey Matty! Yeah, if it's not the greatest invention, it's at least easily the best gear purchase I've ever made (35 years).

jfo.marques, obviously I agree with Matt. I'd grab a Kemper and remote, Profile the JVM and sell it.

My brother's a die-hard tube guy and swore he'd never, ever sell his JVM, let alone buy a digital unit. Since his first session with the Kemper he's been happy to admit that it's now not a matter of if, but when he makes the switch.

In your situation, whether you go Kemper or Fractal, you'll at least be able to play quietly, record easily, and save on your power bills. Win - win - win situation, really.

All that said, I love the 410H. Definitely one of my fave amps.
