A year ago when I was gonna buy a house, I was selling music gear cheap to get $$$ and it all ended up falling through, but obviously couldn't get my gear back. I bought a 1987x with UK made greenbacks in a 1960tv cab. I like the amp, but haven't got to do much with it. I have a chance to get my Budda Superdrive 45 stack back with $$$ or more gear on top, so dollar difference is moot. I had that Budda for years and love the amp, and I like that it's like a slightly hotrodded Plexi/800 as is that has a master volume on it and is hotter than the Plexi. However, it IS a Plexi with greenbacks. I'd like some input from you guys...keep the Plexi or trade it down the road for cool gear, or get my old amp back that technically isn't as sought after as a clean Marshall, but have my old amp back and get extra gear or $$$ on top.

I would say if you prefer to play the SuperDrive, and can make the dollars balance reasonably, then go for it. There are lots of Plexi style amps currently being made so it’s not like that will disappear on you.

Go for the one you truly enjoy playing more. That will make you the happiest IMO. Another way to look at it is if you weren't trying to liquidate things to buy a house would you have sold the Budda? If the answer is no, there is your solution. It isn't often that circumstances swing back around full circle and give us back what we had to sacrifice at some point in time. Remember that.
