Old dog gets away, comes back looking rough.

Loooong story short-ish. Old bro from back in the day reconnects with me after we play a reunion show in 2010 or so. I help him out a lot as we write his second album, including letting him paw thru my amp collection. He takes my 5153 on tour during the writing process, but it doesn't inspire him. He is eyeing my Utraleads hard and buys one of them. Then on the next tour he takes another one as a spare. I get my spare back after the tour, but get fucked on writing credit for the new album. Friendship fallout. End result, I loose a lot effort, time and the money he owes me.

Fast forward to a couple of months ago when a real bro sends me a pic of a Facebook page from old "bro" showing he got my old Utralead back from repair nightmare. Best bro then goes on old "bro" Facebook page and says "Marty would like his old amp back for all the money you owe him." I wind up getting a tour worn old amp of mine back. We call it even and reconnect.

Rigtalk resident Griff agrees to give the old dog a makeover. Now, I could wax poetic about our boy Griff, but at this point nothing needs to be said. He has proven himself time and again what a great guy he is. And kudos to my man Juggernaut Mike for blasting "bro" on Facebook to make this happen in the first place. And also big love to Bloodrock Chris for getting the amp up and running(needed a preamp tube)and pulling the shell for shipping to Griff. Pics that follow show the Facebook post, the amp when I got it back and how she looks now.

That thing looks so badass. LOVE the snakeskin covering/

Great ending to a 'bad bro' experience.....99% of those don't end well.
Amp looks killer now!

Yeah, it wouldn't have happened if i didn't have real bros on social media. I don't have Facebook or Instagram etc at all. I think I'll call this amp the "snake-pitt" from now on. My main Ultralead is known as the "birthday pittbull" since my mom and sister bought it for me for my 45th bday in 2010.
