The pantera ones are so freakin sick! They sound spot on for sure, can't wait to try these tomorrow!

The PanterA ones Felt/Sounded a bit squeamish to me!??!

If that makes any sense - Almost like a cocked Wah was ever so slightly blended in.

That being said - I've read interviews with Dimebag saying thats how his rig Felt/Sounded and was part of what he had goin' on!!

I hear what you are saying, but again, if that is what dime was going for, you nailed it for sure. The metallica ones sound alright as well on my setup. I have not downloaded the pantera ones yet, however the metallica ones didn't seem as powerful through my monitors, maybe because I am hearing a double tracked guitar probably? I am new to all of this, still learning recording etc.

^^ No Worries man,

Next one up will be a CLONE TONES MEGADETH (as soon as my Rockerverb gets back from the shop)

Keep ya eyes peeled for it Sir -

If it sounds like a wah is engaged and held in one spot, then you did it right, haha  That's how I always describe Dimebag's tone to people. I think it has something to do with the backwards bridge pickup in his guitars (Bill Lawrence).

Great videos! Definitely sounding like the original tunes. I especially liked the Mouth for War and Battery tones. The Load/Reload era stuff sounds really accurate too. That's a hard tone to get in the room, because there are so many different amps being used on that record. Good stuff

You're a drummer too, eh? Cool. Now I've got a buddy on RT to talk drums with :D

I got these. The Pantera ones sound good in a mix. Remember yall, these are for tracking and not for live use. They did a good job capturing the tones for the albums but on their own ... sheesh! Brutal but not in the good way.

Hate it when people get simple songs like "Mouth For War" wrong... i mean, can't you tell that it sounds off?? Tone is close though. But almost ALL of those riffs are played wrong. jeez.
