Damn, this is exactly what i wanted to do. Profile a loaded down plexi style amp (mojave) and use it with a matrix gm50 and real cab. ( I can transport my real tone without taking a head, rack, power amp etc...)
Yes, I undestand I can still do this very thing, but Kemper recommends doing it while the cab is plugged in and using a Direct box in between the head and cab. I wasn't aware you could put a regualr cheap direct box in between you head and cab..but there must be better more expensive ones that can take a powered signal?
regardless, I'd still prefer to not have a cab on. I want the hotplate set to load, no cab, so that i may profile the plexi "all the way up" without having to be loud (REALLY LOUD). From what I understand, I can still do this, but put a DI box in between head and hotplate...right?
Or, can I just take the line out from the Mojave (it has a line out post power) ... or am I going to run into this same thing that Kemper says to avoid?
