I wish Jackson would move the volume knob further away from the bridge pickup  I wont own one because of it.

I can't stand that either. It's the only thing that bugs me about my PRS too. My hand hits it constantly.

Pretty cool looking guitar.

I don't like that volume knob placement either, though I suspect if you have the money to order a custom shop Jackson they would put it where ever you want it.

Most definitely unique but I think I would have gone with Chrome tops on the pickups instead of white but that's just me lol
I was thinking the same thing when i looked at the pics.

It's nice & clean and everything, but I've never seen a super-strat I've wanted less.

That's a custom control route config as spec'd by the customer not Jackson's idea.

Sold my Parker because of this. I can't palm mute without wacking the knob. Stupid ass design flaw.

How is it a design flaw if other people don't have a problem with it?

What alot (Well, some) guys do is remove the tone, and put the volume in it's hole, then plug the volume hole. :)

That is precisely what I did to all my Jacksons, except I just lived with the hole. But since nowadays all I play are Suhr's, the Jackson's sit in their cases untouched. What the heck were they thinking by putting the volume pot so close to the bridge anyway? I kept scrunching my last two fingers against the pot.

+1

Whether I have my wrist floating and fingers tucked under (95% of the time) or pinky anchored on the pickup ring the volume knob on my SL2H has never been a problem for me. If you pick with your fingers splayed and flying all over the place I can see how that'd be a problem but I don't think that makes a lot of sense in the first place. I like having the volume knob close enough to do pinky volume swells, too.

There's a fairly popular guitar, the name escapes me at the moment, that has a volume knob really close to the bridge pickup. It is the best selling electric guitar of all time. I know some of you guys have heard of it. The volume knob is right by the bridge pickup and some players have somehow been able to work around that design flaw too. I believe it is called a Fender Stratocaster. Now on a strat I sometimes have issues with how close the volume knob is to the bridge pickup because it's right there, literally. This Jackson has WAY more room than a strat does between the playing area and the knob. Unless you guys are flailing away like Johnny Ramone or have hands the size of Shaquille O'Neal I'm not quite sure what the problem is.

Hey man back off the pirate shirts :gethim: :D

Yeah I have no clue how it started but I have the Lynch / Warren finger spray going on during rhythm work and now and then I will wack the volume knob on my yngwie clone and sometimes on the charvels even. I anchor with my palm above the low E and my fingers will hit now and then even while not playing Ramones covers.
