Wife and kids were gone today so I broke out the earplugs and cranked it. Amp was stadium loud, hence the feedback. I'd have to go to the far corner of the room to get rid of it. Lol! Sloppy playing but sure is fun feelin' the air pushing outta those speakers.

Some guys were asking about hearing the amp without the boost, so I made another iPad video. All the settings were exactly the same as the previous the video. The volume was extremely loud which made it a bit difficult to play without it feeding back. The only time I run it this loud is when I set the second master around this volume for a solo boost, and that's in a full band setting in a much bigger room. Anywho, here it is, flubs and all.

Great sounding rig there. The KK+ brings the pain. Nice jam.

F'ing Awesome, that's why you use a 4x12 or a couple of them. :D
Nothing like moving some air.

I like that it doesn't sound too dark, it still has that Marshall bite.

ts9 engaged or straight up amp? also, is that a super chorus? how did you set it?

TS9 was engaged. Set as a "clean boost." Level maxed, gain on zero, tone at 1:00. I've got the "violence" knob set at about 11:00, gain 1 at 1:00, gain 2 at 10:00. I'm also running a NOS Mullard 12at7 in the phase inverter. It really cleans the gain up IMHO. I swapped tubes for hours and kept coming back to the 12at7. The chorus was set at: mix - 12:00, tone - maxed, speed - 9:00, rate - maxed. I'd probably set the mix a bit lower if I normally played that loud, but that setting was more for bedroom levels. I like it to be just barely there. The DD3 was low at first, trying to do the VH with a quick slap back. At some point I set all the knobs at noon. I'm gonna replace the chorus with an analog chorus at some point because I think it sounds better with gain. This amp doesn't need a boost, I just dig the feel of it for certain things with a boost up front.

The thing about the KK++ and the options that it has is that it's a lot like dialing in a Boogie to me. It took me awhile to get used to the settings. Just turning the knobs a little bit makes a difference, which is a good thing. The glass knob and depth in the back are very interactive as are the bright switches on the front.

I should mention that the PRS has a Bareknuckles VHII in the bridge. It measures somewhere around 9.2 ohms which is a great match for an amp like this that already has so much gain.

I might need to clarify just a bit. The Boss chorus is on all the time. At some point I turned on an old 90's Danelectro Cool Cat chorus that running at 18 volts. It's the very prominent chorus sound in the video. I only use that here and there when I need a more dramatic effect.

Got it, thanks for the detailed response. I have a boss chorus as well but I am not sure I am gelling with it.. I'd love to try the mxr micro chorus, like the idea of one knob. That's why I was interested in your settings as the whole thing sounded awesome.

I've been eyeballing the MXR Analog Chorus. It seems to have a lot of tweak ability. The Boss sounds good in front of my Bassman for stuff like old Police tunes. Sounds a bit too metallic with gain IMHO. The old Cool Cat sounds massive though. It's analog and runs at 18 volts. That's the very prominent chorus sound for a little bit on the video.

I would like to hear some clips without any boost pedals, just to hear what the amp can do without any.

Sounds good!
I personally never run a boost in front... I feel that it kills that huge fat tone you get when you mix in the 4th gain stage (violence) I love to have that engaged.. even at mid gain. Becomes kinda Appetite for Destruction with the Glass and Presence rolled back to 1-2 'o clock, violence in @ 12 and the two gainknobs set for midgain.

Sounds KILLER Matt!! Glad to hear you're still having fun with the amp
