I didn't even know they were playing at a local venue and just stopped by to pick up flyers for my upcoming gig , and managed to see the soundcheck casually....this band is so fuckin great its silly...egnater tones sounded pretty fuckin badass too!

ya they still are in my opinion the band to judge live performances by. Ty's rig is just flat out killing! I have had so much fun working on his rig with him. Can't wait I get to play sound check with the band and his rig when they come to Detroit!

I'm VERY late to the game, as far as digging king's X. But Matt burned me a best-of Kings X mix, and I've been listening to it constantly lately. What a great band.

The whole band is just so talented. Super tight.

Me & Clay saw 'em at a little club this past Monday night. They brought the rock. These guys should be playing arenas but dang it is good for us to see 'em in small clubs.

You certainly deserve props for that, cause that was the best tone i've Ty get in years. He had 4 Cabs stacked and the entire room was shaking when they were running through tunes. Do you know what speakers are loaded in those cabs?? Really Really tough sounding tone man!

I really love Kings X but the weird thing is that I listen to them in waves and then for some reason I always stop. Then months will go by and I'll find the cd laying around, pop it in and wonder why the hell stopped listening to them lol!! Great band all around IMHO!!

My favorite band and unreal live. Ty can peal the paint off the walls with his guitar work. That said I cant get into any of their stuff post Tape Head. Some good songs here and there but no full albums anymore of me just loving it. Still I could care less... they wrote my favorite albums so I'll look past the later.

V30's with a custom mic eliminater. He runs direct to the board no micing.

Jeff,

What is the Ultra doing in his rig?

Strictly effects, I assume?

The first time I ever hear them, the singer was singing "music, music, I hear music, music music over my head" and I cringed. :aww: Because of that, I dont like them...

I didn't listen to 'em for a long time because of same..weird.

You dismiss a whole band and catalogue of music because of one lyrical line from one song?

I agree. If I did the same I'd never listen to 80's metal.

I remember seeing Shot Of Love on MTV back around '88 or '89, they blew me away. I sort of lost interest after Dogman, but the first three albums are all-time faves for me.
