I'm not really a fan of either, but Mustaine fucking SMOKES Kirk. No contest.

i dont know how one could watch this first song and even put hammett in the same league both rhythm and lead as Mustaine, and im not even really much a megadeth fan and i love metallica

Yeah lol.

I was enjoying all the bickering and then I saw this post that you quoted and it was a random head scratcher for me.

The only one I felt the need to chime in about.

Dave shreds both Kirk and James to pieces. I will have to say while neither Dave or James have a "good" to me voice, James's voice is much better. But regarding guitar playing Dave just wins. I would give James the round on more basic and catchy hits than Dave which is definitely something but otherwise I feel Dave is better all around than both of Metallica's guitarists.

So many posts talking about Cliches. The worst one is "James Hetfield has the best right hand in the business". No :lol: :LOL: he does not.

While I am here I will also say that none of these guys suck. James is a tighter guitarist so he does the recordings, who cares? These dudes are all Legends and yes if you come in to say James is awesome but Kirk sucks then you are a fool. Kirk plays everything James does live AND covers most of the leads. Kirk is an old man who had some AMAZING solos back in the day.

He needs a signature wah pedal that has a function when he is ready to play a solo and activated it does absolutely nothing.
