I just wanted to give a shout out and put in a good word for Jens Kruse of Kruse Kontrol Amplification. I got my 50 watt 5153 head modded by him last year and it sounds phenomenal but I developed a hum in the blue channel. I contacted Jens and he told me a couple of things to try but they didn't solve the problem. That was a few months ago and I haven't done anything about it because it still worked fine on the red and green channels. A week or so ago Jens contacted me and asked me if it was still having a problem and if it was would I mind getting the amp to him so he could take a look at it.
Long story short I shipped the amp back to him from Dallas and he got the amp last Friday. Saturday he had already diagnosed and fixed it for free even though the problem had nothing to do with being modded and I should have it back Monday! I even went ahead and had him do something else to it while it was there.
I just wanted to let everyone know that through the whole process from start to finish Jens has always been a stand up guy. He will always get my business when it comes to tube amplifiers..
