They like that much bass because they are more then likely hitting the front end with a pedal.
SOme pedals take away a lot of bass responces and adds a lot of highs.

But that bass is just insane, even with pedals such as the SD-1 which are known to suck bass. I can't bring mine past 10 o'clock without it getting too bass heavy.

They're KSE, what else would you expect them to do?  I thought they used Hughes and Kettners?

definitely sounded bad on my amp...but yeah i do believe they use maxons to boost so maybe it sounds better with the pedal in front.

They've used a ton of stuff. 5150, Recto, Cobra, Dragon, H&K, etc.

Yup, there are gear whores.

5150's, H&K Tri Amps, Soldano SLO, Framus Cobras and Dragons, even an ENGL Savage is on the new record.

vintage mode doesn't have as much bass as modern mode too

considering how much bass there is, i'd say they're using vintage mode on ch3

what do you think?

I think they still run way too much bass in those settings. You realize this thread is like a year old, right?

We're over half way into this year, and I still think it's 2008. :aww:

I have this amp and spank daily to it...

You can see the toggles are all in the modern position...

I think it needs white chicken head knobs. Then that level of bass would be acceptable.

I think they use an EQ in the Loop so they might cut some bass there as well.
