KSR amp build time

For you guys who have ordered KSR amps what is the typical build time? I know its less than 3 months but was wondering what you guys' experience was? I know its weird but I dont want to keep bothering Kyle especially since I just put my order for an Ares in a few weeks ago and I'm not in any rush just excited.

I think it depends where he’s at in his build cycle. I think he builds a run of an amp and then starts on the next model and it goes like that throughout the year.

When I got my Ares, he had some already built on the shelf so all he had to do was put together my head shell and give the amp a final bench tuneup & play test.

I think my amp was in the mail within 2 weeks of buying it I can’t quite recall since it was about a year ago but it was very quick.

He’s great to deal with. I don’t think I’ve heard a single negative comment about him. Very unusual around here lol.

Yeah he has been extremely cool to buy from. I just didnt want to hound him with questions or seem impatient Im just looking forward to getting it. I keep watching the same youtube vids and daydreaming about playing mine. I was actually planning on buying later in the spring but he went above and beyond to answer the questions I had so I went ahead and went for it.

Mine took longer than 3 months but I ordered right after NAMM last year and I know he was pushing the Juno so I knew it would be a minute.

I ordered mine right before NAMM so maybe it will take a bit more time. I guess depending on Ceres build times.

My juno was about 2 months. But Kyle had already begun building one and lucky I was able to snap it up. Super awesome dude. Great communicator and as honest as they come. The wait is agony but well worth it in the end.

Yeah it depends what he's building and how custom you go with certain things. It could be a month or 2 or it could be 6 months. He'll always tell you what he's building when you go to put an order in though which is good because you at least know ahead of time if your going to be waiting a little longer.

He emailed me last night with some info. Dude is awesome. I think I'm switching from an Ares to an Orthos since he has one of those ready. Also found out that Ares now have the Feel control which was a pleasant surprise.

Yeah I had custom faceplates, custom 2 toned field panel and EQ mod so I knew it would be a minute. WELL worth the wait.

That does sound like a killer combo. I love the preamp pedals, 20 watt amp heads, and tube power amps coming out. I really believe lots of people will switch back from digital with these. One thing I learned from having a Kemper is that I dont need 1000 different amp models just a couple of a few different flavors.

Congrats bro! I love my KSR and Kyle. Super cool dude. He did get a ton of orders for the Ceres so that might slow down things a bit. I just got an Orthos 2 and it's a beast just like everything he builds.

I have both Chris. The Juno is a touch brighter overall, the mids are more upper mid oriented to my ears. The Gemini is darker and more mean, not that the Juno doesn't get mean it most certainly does get mean. The Juno is like the ultimate modern MArshall. The Gemini is just more modern tone. These amps are not leaps and bounds different I could be happy with either.

I've been very interested in KSR amps for a very long time, what would you guys say an orthos sounds closest to overall? I've heard some people say it's very SLO or dual recto flavored.
