Just want to say (late, and maybe too late, since the Hagen is up...), that the VH4 is an incredible amp
Serious - I owned the Einstein, have the Schmidt now, but happened to play a VH4 (testing a cabinet at the big T...) and it is the best amp in sound and versatility, I played yet - and I even didn't tweak the eqs, set all at noon.
I had the wrong idea (and unfortunately was told so), that the VH4 fits more to the modern heavy stile of rock/metal. I was wrong - clean, crunch, lead and the heavy sounds too - all perfect!
I understand now, why players praise this amp. I'm ashamed, very late!
