That's an old AOR cab. They came stock with Celestion G12M70s (same as the metal grill Carvin 4x12s) which most people don't like much.

Made of MDF too. Not worth the asking price IMO.

LOL, I have an 80's Carvin that came with the G12m-70's, but the Cab is plywood. I dumped them for V30's; it's my main cab. I also have an 80's Randall, but that thing is an MDF Anchor! They are just to heavy with 50oz speakers..

I'm kinda bummed. 'Can't do another MDF Cab.. But I like an old Cab cuz you don't need to worry about keeping it pretty.. You can always change the speakers.. I coulda' sold the 70's to come out almost even..

If you're in the market for a cheap but quality beater cab, I'd keep your eyes open for one of the old Peavey cabs. They're all 3/4" plywood construction, so it's just a matter of speakers.

Cloth grill, spikey logo ones usually had Celestions (later ones didn't), and the metal grill ones are frontloaded with Sheffields. I think 5150 cabs had an MDF back.

I have a full stack of those in my basement, mine aren't mdf, they're some type of plywood, not very good quality either.

I have one of those old Laney's. Bought it used for $130 back in 1991.

Forum people hate them...but I have always dug the way it sounds beefy and not piercing like many mainstream cabs. It doesn't record great...and only likes Marshall style heads ... But I can't see myself selling it.

I'd rock it if it were front loaded.

That cab is calling me, but I can't do MDF. Is yours plywood, or particle board?

Don't even know. Sounds goofy I know but I haven't opened it in 20 years. I do remember a big wad of foam batting. It's not heavy like my plywood cabs. 190 is probably the outer edge of what it's worth.. you ain't losing out by passing on it.

lol.. I dropped in that Pawn Shop today. The thing doesn't have 1 ding on it.. It's in killer condition.. But I can't do MDF.
