Kiko Loureiro is another one….and the dude is a fucking beast
I’m a lefty but play right handed. It just made sense when I started. It seemed easier plus all the guitars I wanted were right handed. And being a cheapskate right handed guitars generally cost less.I never had any issue fretting. Picking has always been my trouble spot. I worked through it and actually feel my left hand helps a lot since it’s easier to get those out of nowhere notes (legato hammer one and pull offs). Early on I played lefty and was told to change to make my life easier. I’ve never regretted it.
In the case of Steve Morse, who by all accounts is CONSTANTLY PRACTICING...I met Steve Morse years ago at a clinic and asked him to sign my High Tension Wires CD. I was shocked when he picked up the pen with his left hand, especially since he has the best right hand in the business.
Gary Moore, same deal. Crazy.
