Lefties playing right-handed guitars?

Rik Emmett from Triumph is a lefty that plays righty, he always said he felt it was an advantage. As a righty that plays righty, I feel I have a better picking hand that fretting hand, and I have a buddy that's a lefty that has a better fretting hand playing righty.

Yup, exactly how I see it Paul.

I'd much rather be using my right hand to fret. Too late now 'though, and too-bad... or in my case, really bad, m'kay?

I never had any issue fretting. Picking has always been my trouble spot. I worked through it and actually feel my left hand helps a lot since it’s easier to get those out of nowhere notes (legato hammer one and pull offs). Early on I played lefty and was told to change to make my life easier. I’ve never regretted it.
I’m a lefty but play right handed. It just made sense when I started. It seemed easier plus all the guitars I wanted were right handed. And being a cheapskate right handed guitars generally cost less.

I met Steve Morse years ago at a clinic and asked him to sign my High Tension Wires CD. I was shocked when he picked up the pen with his left hand, especially since he has the best right hand in the business.
Gary Moore, same deal. Crazy.

In the case of Steve Morse, who by all accounts is CONSTANTLY PRACTICING...

that sorta makes sense. I bet if you asked him, he'd complain about his picking hand.
