Is the neck stable?

I can't stand Floyd Rose guitars with necks that move a lot. I can't really check this aspect of a guitar in a store. So, those that have them, are you constantly having to tune the guitar? Or does it hold tight?

It's a set neck, so it will not move. And it's a FR trem so it will stay in tune a hell of a lot better than any stock Gibson bridge, nut and tuners.

What I'm talking about is that expansion/contraction of wood with changes in pressure, temperature, settings, seasons.

I've got some 40 guitars. Trust me, set necks do move too.

I've found actually that my Peavey and my Ken Lawrence, with carbon fiber rods, do not move hardly at all. And most of my other bolt on hard rock maple necks don't move too much. But mahogany necks and korina necks can move quite a bit, especially with newer guitars.

This is more of a problem with Floyds because tuning up on a Floyd is a bit more work than on a non-Trem guitar, and it stinks when the fine tuners hit their limit and you need to tune on the run. I know they are super stable - assuming the neck doesn't move.

Gibson was supposedly making a "hardtail" option for the Axcess ...,

But, FWIW - I haven't seen any in stores yet ?
