I know it's not a V but I have owned '13 Trad Pro II for about 6 yrs and it's one of my favorite guitars. Versatile, light (in LP terms), and just plays great. As far as I can tell there's not much difference btwn the generations except the V's have an asymmetrical neck carve and Tradbucker pups. I can't speak to those variables but IMO the Trad Pro is an underrated LP model generally speaking and if you're splitting coils at any point they're great. I haven't had any issue with the push/push pot assemblies over the years and I've used them well and switched pickups many many times.
