I I got Worldwide Live and Live After Death by Maiden when I was 16. Still my two favorite live albums three decades later.

Dude me too!! Both at xmas. But I was 15.

They came out when I was 15 but did not get them right away.

They evolved quite a bit from then. Lonesome Crow (1972) was a great album, but yeah it took a few spins for sure.

As someone else already said, Jabs is the absolute king in the tasteful fills between verses and choruses! You know exactly what he is playing but he just picks his notes so well. Absolute beast.

I think the song is called Hit Between The Eyes on that album..awesome guitar song,just has amazing tone and fiery riffs..I have it on cd somewhere,gotta find it now ! What an awesome album,along with most of their other ones..old one Animal Magnetism too ! Jabs playing his black Strat and somewhere in there he had a light blue Strat with black tiger stripes.

I can't say enough about this album! I've had it on tape, CD, and picked up a used one on vinyl a few months ago.

I was an Army brat and arrived in Germany in 85'. My uncle sent me this on tape from the U.S. as a gift and so I was just arriving there and had the music to introduce me to this awesome country! Me and my friends traveled around Europe and would be listening to these songs while looking out the window of some tourist bus with a driver that looked like Herman Rarebell. LOL!

Scorpions will always be a special band to me because of the age I was. I have Tokyo Tapes on vinyl too which is great but I'll always love the "80's Scorpions" better.

Love the Scorps, Blackout was one of the first songs I learned on electric not the lead, lol Blackout and world wide live were some great listening, always on my walkman.

Yep Matthias is one of my all time favorite players--just so much tone and great phrasing--cool guitars and 50 watt Marshalls and sustain for days--VERY underrated.

The first concert I went to without my parents was world wide live in august of 85 and Ratt opened . It was sold out at the Tacoma dome.
They both killed it !
I was 14 and dammit if my new black and red air jordans did not get puke on them !!!

No question he should have been far more recognized. He's a great player, always smiling having a blast. One of my favorites too!
