I like 100watt amps too, but I agree with Shea’s assessment of the 50w 2204. They are absolutely killer when modded. My personal favorite amp that I fairly extensively modded is an 83’ 2204 JCM800. Great combination of sag, tightness and aggressiveness.

Best modded Marshall I’ve had was a 50 watt JCM800. It killed.
