Just got back from a solo show he did in a small theatre in Green Bay...There was maybe six/seven hundred people there...

First off, I HATE Fleetwood Mac...Period.

Secondly, while I like a few of Lindsey's solo songs, the body of work as a whole in my limited listening, well, not so much either...

He did the show 100% solo... Just him and a guitar...A couple very sparse loops for some songs...Sound was great, we had awesome seats...

Oh. My. God.

It was plain to see that this is what a "musician" is...Not just a guy that plays a guitar or a hired gun

The dynamics and the way he used volume to build-up and knock-down parts...His playing, his freaking voice, the fact that there was NOTHING to hide behind musically... The passion for what he was doing was awesome....The guy was just oozing music...When he would get carried away, there was nothing "planned" or staged...He really seemed to just feel it and it certainly translated to what you heard in the audience...

I get a little limited in what I choose to listen to and forget there are a zillion other genres out there...I just wanted to say how impressed I was and actually forgot how powerful an acoustic guitar could be in the right hands..Who knew? I thought acoustics were just for intros!

I second his great ability as an entertainer. Cool cat that ran his own style.

He's an incredibly talented musician...I'm a huge fan.

This. IMO he was never over-marketed as a solo act, so a lot of his work just kinda flew under the radar.

I remember hearing his solo version of "Big Love" on a local classic rock station when that first came out and damn....

Very talented guitarist and I like his style and tone. I also like Fleetwood mac.

Ya Lindsey is a bad mofo. My first wife was a big Fleetwood Mac fan so I learned to appreciate his playing. His spanish flamenco version of Big Love is just killer. It was transcribed in a December issue of one of the guitar magazines the year the live reunion album The Dance came out. 97' or 98' I think. I still have the issue. If you want a nice finger picking lesson/workout learn that little diddy. Especially the middle part of the song. Yikes. Ya, Lindsey's a finger picking beast. Funny bit of info. He was just in Houston about 3 weeks ago at a small venue as well. But the week before Stevie Nicks was here playing Toyota Center with Rod Stewart. Their solo careers took different paths I guess.

I hate these multi talented fucks! ;)

I'm always jealous of someone who can sing as well as they play. I'd have started fronting my own bands years ago if my voice was worth a damn, but then that never stopped most of the bands I shared bills with who couldn't find good singers either
