Line Out Box Question

Hey guys, I apologize in advance if the question I’m about to ask is stupid, but please bear with me. I just got the Bray Line Out Box and really like using it to take my amps and slave them into my various Boogie Mark amps or my Strategy 400 to get a massive sound. What I’m wondering though is would this line out box make a difference if I used it for my rack preamp into my Boogie’s as poweramps? My guess would be no, but I’m new to this rack type stuff. If it would make a difference, would the preamp still need to be connected to a load from the line out box like it would need to be with my amps?

Line out box like the Bray or Suhr is taking the out after the poweramp, not from s preamp. You wouldn’t use a line out box with a preamp because a preamp gives a preamp level signal already. Also, a preamp doesn’t need to be connected to a load, that’s for amps or poweramps.

Just use the preamp out and run it to the FX loop return of the amps that have an FX loop. Then you are using the power sections of the amps...wait till you run it to your Coli. MASSIVE!!!!

Although I'm sure you know that already.

Use the Bray to pull a line level off your amp/speaker to run a wet signal with effects-power amp

If you have 2 amps, both with fx loops, you can take the signal from amp1 fx send and connect it to amp2 fx return. That way you re using the amp's 1 preamp section into the amp's 2 poweramp section. And vice versa. It's like taking a guitar rack preamp and connect to the fx return of a mesa dual rectifier for example.

Yes. The OP has at least 1 Mesa Coliseum, and I'm suggesting he use his preamp and send the signal to the Effects loop return of the Coliseum and TURN IT UP!! 180 crushing watts of destruction. He'll be bypassing the preamp of the Coliseum and use the power section for his preamp. I did this with an HRG C++ using the slave out into the FX return of a 2B Coliseum I had at the time. Awesome.
