List all the speakers you've tried with diezel cabs

As the tone quest continues id like to explore more options in the area of speakers in my diezel cab.
Thus far ive tried the:
Custom eminence- Not bad, Very warm and dark. No bite and absolutely no grainyness. Lots of low end handling, but not to great for heavy rythym stuff.
Hempcones- Grainy, not much low end. VERY good for heavy rythym stuff, blues tones and cleans! Bright but not at all harsh.
Gk100's- Loud. Lots of lows but not much in the lower midrange spectrum. Pretty bright in my opinion, and others call it surgical. Id agree with that statement.

Im currently using the GK's and the hemps in an x pattern and its a bit bright for my liking. Im thinking of exploring new options and leaning towards the CL80's. Any other particular suggestions are welcome too. not a fan of v30's mid spike. Im pretty much ONLY using my herbert for LOUD applications and keep my lead volume just under noon.

If I may suggest you should broaden the question a bit and ask about different speakers used with Diezel AMPS. While I certaintly agree that cabs play a big part in the overall sound, I always believed that the main characteristics of a speaker can be evaluated regardless of the cab.

I've heard great things about G12-65's.

I've been impressed with Eminence Legend V12's. They come stock in Soldano cabinets and sound great with SLO's and Avenger's.

Well....I finally did it. A strange thing happened today and I suddenly came home with a V30 for my Diezel 2x12FL.

So I have a V30 sitting there and G12K100.

What did I do?

I combined them and oh my......


It sounds amazing! I'll post up some pics in another thread.

All v30s and v30s/GK100s are my favorites. The Diezel Custom Eminence speakers were beyond horrific.

a huge fan of the V30/G12K100 combo. also V30/GT75 combo. Love the tones out of them. All V30s def are 3rd in the list.

warehouse speakers (green berets, veteran 30's, retros, and the reaper, actually all pretty decent!)

and what else? umm swamp thangs, and texas heat mix not bad at all actually

honestly i am considering going back to the pro's for like the 3rd time, DAMNIT I'M DUMB!
